Christmas Treats!

Both of these recipes are great! The rum cake, was so good it was gone in 3 days. It was so moist we didn't really want to share it. The kids had no desire to try it, so more for us.
The party mix is quick and easy thanks to the microwave. I don't really measure out
8 cups of cereal, I just dump a bit of each different kind and mix it all up. I don't use the whole package of M & M's either, I just dump some in for color.
Be careful to keep your eye on the microwave to prevent it all from burning. I used a thin glass bowl last time I made the mix and it burned very easily. I had a much
better batch using the heavy Pyrex bowl.

Chicken Tacos

I don't know if I was just really hungry, but these hit the spot! I used crispy white corn taco shells.

Mushroom Chicken

This is a take off off The Outback's Alice Springs Chicken. I just guesstimated my measurements for the honey mustard. You could just use bottled honey mustard dressing.

Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough

I usually just eat the cookie dough, but this recipe is good to share.
If the dough is a little crumbly add a tiny bit more milk.

Mushroom Lasagne

Excellent recipe, mix and match your mushrooms.

Avocado Casserole

I found this recipe on another blog and tweaked it a bit to avoid another trip to the grocery store.
I think you could add shredded chicken and it would be a great main dish for those who believe you have to have meat in your main course.

More pizza!

We had St Louis Style Pizza 18 months ago and finally I found the perfect crust recipe. Cracker style, if you don't like thin and crispy, don't try this.
I placed pre cooked bacon on the pizza and it crisped right up. Made an excellent addition to my pizza toppings.
